Ward's Long-eared Bat is a medium-sized insectivorous bat found in the Himalayan region, including parts of northern India, Nepal, Bhutan, and southwestern China. It inhabits temperate forests, alpine meadows, and rocky slopes, usually at higher elevations.

As the name suggests, this species is known for its remarkably long ears, which are useful for detecting prey by sound. It has soft, grayish-brown fur and a relatively delicate build. Its wings are broad, allowing for slow but highly maneuverable flight—ideal for foraging in cluttered habitats.
